The judges thought this a remarkable sausage roll with well thought out seasoning and good quality meat. The pastry is well made, flaky and bakes well. This is an inspired combination overall. The meat has a great meaty aroma, and the flavour is deep with both the venison and merguez coming through with great levels of seasoning and a good peppery heat. An appealing looking sausage roll, generous level of fill. The pastry is short, good and delicious. A satisfying filling, delivers fantastic depth and rich aromatic flavour. A treat!

The pastry is buttery and flaky- delicious. The filling is meaty and well seasoned with tarragon and mustard. Fluffy and flaky pastry which is beautifully buttery. The filling was generous and the unique twist of adding rabbit made for a very exciting taste experience. The herbs, particularly the tarragon, work so well in this combination. The moisture level was also ideal.
Homemade Wild Boar & Free Range Pork Sausage Roll
The judges thought these sausage rolls were visually appealing and the pastry looked rustic and homemade. We liked the seasoning on the pastry but we found the meat needed more seasoning, although we commend you for the wild garlic flavour, which comes through subtly, and we did enjoy the sausage meat overall. This product has a lot of potential. Very, very good, short pastry which has taken on the flavour of the meat.

Just eaten a venison sausage roll, bought from the Beccles Food & Drink Festival, I think it was possibly the best sausage roll I've ever tasted. Will be looking forward to sampling more Truly Traceable products very soon.

We brought a cook from frozen venison shank pie home from Harleston Market being a bit apprehensive because it was venison (not tried) - oh my god it was delicious! Never tasted a pie like it and will definitely buy them again!! Wish we'd have brought more now!
I must be honest and say simply the best pies I have ever eaten.
Bought 2 sausage rolls at the Bury St Edmunds farmers market last weekend. Had for lunch - delicious - especially the pigeon. Tonight cooked venison pie straight from the freezer as recommended. So good I will definitely buy more and am tempted to pass them off as my own next time brother comes for lunch - I'm no good at pastry so he might guess though!

I finally got hold of one of the breakfast pies, brought into work by the lovely Lisa. it was absolutely yummy. i'm stuffed! I've also tried venison pie and sausage rolls also, both are incredible too. I have to say the innards to pastry ratio is spot on.

Absolutely beautiful & very tasty pies yet again! Every time i make sure i get a different pie to try & think it won't be as good as the last but they are! And better! The pies are very tasty & filled with a lot of flavour & the pastry is to die for.

What a wonderful team - Lynn and Steve's pies are amazing. Mouthwatering pastry and rich tasty fillings - whether its venison, pigeon or the veggie option. Its important to me to know the provenance of my meat and to be able to trust that the supplier is honest and skilled in their profession and that they have respect for the animal. These guys deserve every award! 5 star company

Loving the venison sausage rolls this morning over at Snape Maltings. If you haven't already tried Truely Traceable then you absolutely must track them down at one of the many markets they attend. Really friendly customer service too, it's easy to see that they both have a great understanding of their products.

At last, we actually got to buy some of your pies and they certainly haven't disappointed. Tonight between us we tried the venison, venison and ale and the Moroccan ones, also sampled the sausage rolls earlier today. I can see why you have won awards. So much nicer than any venison I have tried before. Fabulous, where else can you get food that is Truly Traceable? Keep up the good work.

We at Thoroughfare Deli, Halesworth have been overwhelmed by the demand for Truly Traceable's amazingly tasty sausage rolls and pies. We often have people waiting for them to come hot out of the oven in the mornings! A real treat for those of you looking for that homemade taste! The pastry is meltingly crumbly and crisp, the fillings are delicious and to die for! All locally sourced and beautifully prepared...irresistible!!
Just wanted to give praise where praise is truly called for! Had a venison Scotch Egg today when you attended the Farmers Market on site (Thursday 26 July) and it was simply stunning! Far and away THE best scotch egg I'd ever eaten. Flavoursome, light, beautifully cooked and just "OMG" scrumptious!!!
